SugarChimp syncs your SugarCRM or SuiteCRM data into Mailchimp, allowing you to segment, personalize, and target your contacts with more precision. One powerful way to leverage this data is through dynamic content blocks in Mailchimp campaigns.

Step 1: Sync Needed CRM Data
SugarChimp syncs your CRM fields to Mailchimp audience fields. The first step to using this data within dynamic content blocks in Mailchimp is to sync this data to Mailchimp.
Step 2: Add Dynamic Content in Your Campaign
To use dynamic content you'll create your email as usual. From there, there are two ways that dynamic content can be added in your campaign:
Adjust Content Block Visibility
For the blocks that you'd like to hide or make visible based on CRM fields, you'll click Visibility. (This assumes you're using Mailchimp new campaign builder. The legacy builder process for dynamic content may vary.)

Examples:
Adjust content based on how someone entered your CRM. (For example, if you met a person at a trade show, you might have a specific content block saying: "We were excited to meet you at XYZ Trade Show! Here's a special offer just for you..."
Target industries from a synced CRM field like Industry. This can include specific resources, white papers, or offers based on the industry of their account.
Show events based on location. When you sync city, state, country, or region from your CRM, you can promote live events in cities relevant to them.
Show products related to their specific interests. If you track product interests, show tailored product features or updates.
Personalize Content Using Field Data
If you want to personalize the text within the email, you can use dynamic content to do that as well by inserting the merge tag directly in the text of your campaign. This means you can add details you've gathered in your CRM to make the campaign more individualized to the recipient.
Examples:
Personalize greetings. Perhaps the most common use of merge tags is being able to personalize the greeting based on the subscribers first name, company name, or title. For example, instead of diving straight into your email or having a generic greeting, you can say, "Hi John! Thanks for being a part of the Acme, Inc. team!
Include the name of the CRM owner assigned to the contact. Want to include the assigned account manager? Sign your email directly from them for a more concierge touch.
Show renewal dates. Include the dates of their subscription or renewals to keep subscribers informed.
Best Practices
Use clear and consistent field values in your CRM to ensure the logic works correctly (e.g., no typos or mixed capitalization).
Use the preview feature and enable live merge tag info to see how emails will appear for specific subscribers.
Test your campaign using different contact previews to verify each condition behaves as expected.
Avoid overly complex logic; limit to 2–3 conditions per block for clarity and deliverability.
