Zendesk ticket, requester, and organization syncing is turned on by default for Professional and Ultimate licenses. When a ticket is created or updated in Zendesk, Zendesk will send a webhook to your Sugar/Suite instance. Syncing can be turned off by updating a Fanatically Zen config using your browser's console. This means that when the webhook is received on the Sugar end, the integration will see this config is turned off and prevent updates from occurring. You can turn off syncing via config.
If you have a lot of ticket volume in Zendesk, we recommend also deleting your Zendesk trigger so no webhooks are sent to Sugar/Suite at all. This will prevent the update from even hitting your CRM instance.
- If you have multiple triggers, you'll want to delete all of them.
- Check both Active and Inactive triggers and fully delete each trigger.
Do not just deactivate triggers. If you later reconnect Fanatically Zen to Zendesk, deactivated triggers can be recreated, resulting in duplicates.
The steps for deleting the Zendesk trigger entirely can be found below:
- Within Zendesk, navigate to the Admin Center and click Objects and rules in the sidebar.
- Under Business rules click Triggers.
- Click Tickets.
- If the trigger you want to delete is still active, follow the steps to deactivate the trigger.
- Click Filters, select Inactive.
- Next to the trigger you want to delete, click the options menu icon and select Delete.
If necessary, click the expander (>) next to a category to show triggers within a category. - In the confirmation dialog, click Delete trigger.
