SugarChimp will ensure that all of your data stays up-to-date as changes are made to your Target Lists and the Contacts, Targets and Leads on those Lists, but there are some cases when you may want to force a re-sync of the data.
One of those reasons would be a change made to the field mapping for a List. When you change the field mapping settings for a list (maybe you added a new field, or changed what a field syncs to, etc) you will need to re-sync your list to make sure MailChimp has the latest data.
How to Re-Sync a List
- Go to Admin, scroll to the SugarChimp section and go to the Health Status page
- Scroll to the bottom to the “List Sync Status” section (if you do not see this section, you should upgrade to SugarChimp 7.5)
- Find your list, select one of the “Available Sync Options” and click “Queue Re-sync”
Sync Sugar Data to MailChimp - Use this option if you want to re-sync your data from Sugar to MailChimp. This is the most common re-sync type. You will want to use this if you changed your SugarChimp Field Mapping settings.
Sync MailChimp Data to Sugar - Use this option you want to re-sync your data from MailChimp to Sugar. This is handy for when you manually imported subscribers to a MailChimp list using MailChimp import tool and want to bring those people into Sugar.
After choosing an option and queueing the resync, you can refresh the Health Status page to see that the “Pending to MailChimp” and “Pending from MailChimp” numbers have changed.
After waiting 10-15 minutes (enough time for the Sugar Scheduler to run and start processing the SugarChimp Queue), you should see those numbers go down and eventually reach 0, and at that point you are good to go. The re-sync has been completed.
