Any version of Sugar 7 or above will use dashlets to view your Mailchimp data. Every dashlet installation is very similar. The following guide will show you how to setup Sugar to view your subscriber activities. You can follow the links above to see how to view your Campaign Summaries and Mailchimp List Settings!
Give your Sugar users a way to peak into the MailChimp Subscriber activity to see what their Targets, Leads, Accounts and Contacts have been receiving and clicking. The setup for this varies depending on which version of Sugar you are using.
With version 7, Sugar introduced a new way to display data from other systems using intelligent dashlets. SugarChimp utilizes these dashlets to show you Mailchimp Subscriber activity when looking at a specific Contact, Account, Target or Lead. Here's how you enable it:
In Sugar, go to one of your Contacts, Targets, Leads or Accounts. It works best if you go to a Contact that you know has an email address and has received something from you in Mailchimp. If you do not have one, any Contact, Target, Lead or Account will work.
On the right side of the page, you should see your a column for your dashlets. At the top, there will be a menu labeled "Create". Click the drop down arrow next to it and select "Edit".
Your Dashboard is now in edit mode. Scroll to the bottom of the Dashboards and click "Add a row". Then in the same spot click "Add a Dashlet".
A new page will appear. Click "select and edit" the MailChimp Activity dashlet from the list. Then click "Save".
And then click "Save" again to save the dashboard.
That's it! If the Contact has Mailchimp activities, they will show up here. Follow the same exact steps for the Lead, Target and Account modules if you would like to see their activity dashlet.
